How Long Lord?

"How long until the end of these extraordinary thing?" Then I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the River. He raised both his hands toward heaven and swore by Him who lives eternally that it would be for a time, times, and half a time. When the power of the holy people is shattered, all these things will be complete.
I heard but did not understand. Daniel 12:6-8

This time period is taken to be 31/2 years, or half way through the great tribulation when Israel can no longer defend herself and must turn to The Lord Jesus as its Messiah.

How true this is for all of us. Whilst we are determined to make things happen in  our own strength and not run to The Lord, He will allow our trial to endure, but when we have given up, He comes, swiftly. 

God is very good at being God and He does not need our help, we need His. He is or redeemer, our help in time of need. He is our wisdom in our foolishness, He is our strength in our weakness.

As to when things will happen, He alone knows. As to how things will happen, He alone knows. Trust Him!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
