Now Jepthah was a mighty warrior and a Gileadite but he was the son of a prostitute. Gilead was his father. And Gilead's wife also bore him sons and when the sons grew up, they drove Jepthah out and said to him, "you shall not have an inheritance in our father's house, for you are the son of another woman." Then Jepthah fled to the land of Tob and lived there, and worthless fellows collected around Jepthah and went out with him.
Judges 11:1-3
Just because our birth is questionable does not mean there is no hope and future for us. Jepthah was a mighty warrior. The only people who wanted to be around him in his isolation were worthless scoundrels but God had a plan.
Jepthah became the leader of the Israelites because he was the only mighty man in Israel.
Our misfortune can push us to be great to survive, but a time comes when we are noticed and those who shunned us will need us.
Be ready!
