When Samson had finished speaking, he threw away the jawbone and named that place Ramathlehi. He became very thirsty and called out to The Lord: "You have accomplished this great victory through your servant. Must I now die of thirst am fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?" So God split a hollow in the ground at Lehi, and water came out of it. After Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. That is why he named it Enhakkore, which is Lehi to this day. And he judged Israel 20 years in the days of the Philistines. Judges 15:17-20
What an unusual character! Brazen, self-possessed and not afraid to speak to God in the manner he did.
What is interesting is God allowed it and Samson judged Israel 20 years. Now that would indeed be interesting.
I would have enjoyed being a fly on the wall.
God chose unimportant families and chose very different people from those families to rule for Him.
We woul never choose those God chose and we would have missed something important.
