Worthy Praise

A crucible for silver, and a smelter fro gold, and a man for the words of his praise. Proverbs 27:21

There are two sources of praise: one a man gives and another he receives.

If I look deeply into a person I can see what I must praise, the work of Christ in a person. They may not know the Lord yet, but need to hear the prophetic voice calling them.

If I use superficial praise I beat the air, I am acting without love and only speaking to say something, a useless pursuit.

When I hear praise, I evaluate it. Is it superficial or is it speaking to my spirit. If speaking to my spirit them I am blessed for my spirit needs feeding. If, however, it is useless praise the speaker thinks I want to hear and don't then I disregard it.

I hear way too much useless praise. I long for prophetic uplifting. Amen!
