Psalm 82 says:
God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods;
"How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked?"
Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. Rescue the poor and needy from the power of the wicked."
They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness.
All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I said, " You are gods; you are sons of the Most High.
However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler."
Rise up God, judge the earth,
For all the nations belong to You."
Today, through social media and television we see the injustice that the poor are subjected to. We are called to do justice to these. How can we do that?
If a woman such as Christine Caine can create a movement called A21 that rescues the poor and needy who are trafficked for slavery and prostitution we can do our part. What would God have us do?
The things in our hands are: our voice, our pen, our finance and our prayers. How would God have us use them? We can agree to give regularly, we can pray without ceasing, we can write to our politicians, we can speak out to others.
What is your part? Seek the Lord and ask Him. There is always something.
