Grace leads to Purity not Licentiousness

Dear friends, although I was eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to contend for the faith that was delivered to the saints once for all.
For some men, who were designated for this judgement long ago, have come in by stealth; they are ungodly, turning the grace of our God into promiscuity and denying Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord. Jude 3,4

Is 't it amazing that even today we have such a problem. Grace is a gift from God but not a licence to sin, but rather the empowerment to live righteously.

Jude wanted to share good uplifting aspects about the Christian walk but was compelled to stand against heresies that were infiltrating the church.

Heresies come when we take things too far. Instead of adding one and one and getting two, these people get 101. Our flesh is a devious and crafty snake, it was born in the pit and needs regeneration. If we allow it to rule it comes up with all sorts of manufactured truth that suit itself and sin.

Yes God loves us and pursues us but He does not leave us in our filth, rather He cleanses and renews us. Amen!
