His Ways

Brothers, consider your calling: not many are wise from a human perspective, not many are powerful, not many of noble birth. Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world- what is viewed as nothing- to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one can boast in His presence.
But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us- our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, in order that, as it is written: the one who boasts must boast in the Lord (Jeremiah 9:24)  1 Cor 1:26-31

I don't know about you but I have, at time, lamented that I am not clever enough, wise enough or good enough, but that is exactly what my God wants. If I am strong then I boast in myself, but it is when I am weak that I trust and cling to my God.

In Christ I am all I need to be, His wisdom is resident in me, I can use that; His self-control is powerful; His skill is exceptional. I have all this, living inside, all I have to do is step out in Him. Amen!

I can boast, I can sing of the goodness of my God, He is good. The key is: always, always, always subjugate self-pity, self-effort, self anything and step out in Him, in faith and He is there. Amen!
