Husbands and Wives

Husbands, in the same way, live with your wives with an understanding of their weaker nature yet showing them honour as coheirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. 1 Peter 3:7

Our interpretation of the words used can somewhat inflame in the Independant woman. However, if we take it all in context we see honour given to the woman as a coheir. That, in my language means equal. Being called weaker, in right in physical strength mostly and emotional strength often.

I hear grace, honour and an encouragement to respect the wife so that God would listen to the husbands prayers. 

Any time I find a man honouring I respond, putting down and I see red. This little chick can be a raging bull at times. However I can be a good friend and trust the Lord in relating to all people. It is not my place to boss or command or overpower. Not a good look.

Allowing God to be God in the lives of His people takes off a lot of pressure. Amen!
