For Jude to say: ' now to Him who is able to protect you from stumbling, .... Through Jesus Christ our Lord,' he would have experienced it firsthand. Imagine being able to say this about his brother. A brother he grew up with, played with, fought with, did life with. We know Jesus' family did not believe until He had risen from the dead. They were not with Him in His ministry, He did not have their comfort whilst on the cross, yet they did come to know the truth.
The revelation would have been amazing! Wow! To have lived with God on earth and not known it. The transitition from unbelief to belief would have been spectacular, what a revelation!
That very revelation would fill Jude up, empower Him with passion and a knowledge of the truth. This would have been something he would willingly die for.
He goes on the say: ' glory, majesty, power and authority before all time, now and forever.' He had got it. Like a reformed smoker, he is ardent about the truth that had set him free.
What has Jesus done in your life? How has He set you free? What is your story?
I will never forget my salvation. I had longed for a relationship with my lord for 19 years. Finding Him was the very best thing I have ever done. I know what life was without Him and I know what life is like now I know Him. What a God, what a friend! Amen!
