He is Our Rock

Now I want you to know, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, all passed through the sea, and all were baptised into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food, all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from a spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ. But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.
Now these things happened to them as examples, and they were written as a warning to us, on whom the ends of all ages have come. So, whoever thinks he stands must be careful not to fall. No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape. So that you are able to bear it. 1 Cor 10:1-5;11-13

The Corinthians were tempting God with licentious behaviour. Paul was warning them that there were consequences for what they were doing.

I love the fact that Christ, our rock, was following the children of Israel in the wilderness and was the source of their refreshment in the natural, as He now is ours in the Spirit.

He is right here for us to turn to and receive strength and sustenance from. He believes in us and is our greatest fan. We need to rely on His strength, His direction and guidance. He is the Way. Amen!
