We have this kind of confidence toward God through Christ. It is not that we are competent in ourselves, but our competence is from God. He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit produces life. 2 Cor 3:4-6
The Old Testament was all about what we should so, the New is about what Christ can do through us. I am not competent because of what I am, but what Christ is in and through me.
We try and make those in our world abide by our rules and then become upset when they fail. We are not God and even He knew we needed a Saviour and sent Jesus. There is only one Way and one source of life, Jesus Christ. Be kind, lighten up on others. They are just like you, in need of a Saviour. Amen!
