And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.
From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come. 2 Cor 5:15-17
We do not know Christ in a purely human way, yet we know Him by faith. However we know each other and often this is only an exchange of natural knowledge obtained through interaction or perception. We are encouraged to know each other deeper, as spiritual beings.
Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation. We are approaching midnight on New Year's Eve 2014. Many will endeavour to fix the old ways and fail without trying to create new ways. As Christians we cannot fix our flesh as it is dead. We must walk in newness of life in the Spirit, as a new creation.
My new self has strength and power, the power of the Holy Spirit. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The life I now live I live by faith in the Son of God who loves me.
Happy New Year for 2015. Enjoy the new you this year. Amen!
