Love the Enemies

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbour and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. For He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing out of the ordinary? Don't even the Gentiles so the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48

We are called to see mankind through God's eyes. He wants all men to come to know Him and He is patient and long suffering in His pursuit of us. When we were lost and evil He still loved us and drew us to Himself. To able to love the evil I need such grace. Lord I ask for Your grace and mercy! Amen!

May this be the righteousness we seek, walking in His grace and mercy! Amen!

We see the enemies of our country portrayed as men we should hate but I pray for His mercy and grace upon them. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
