True Righteousness

Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of people, to be seen by them. Otherwise, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So whatever you give to the poor, don't sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrite do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be applauded by people. I assure you: they got their reward! But when you give to the poor don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Matthew 6:1-4

We love glory don't we! We love others to think well of us. How hard is this. Yet God"s righteousness is that practiced without seeking glory or attention.

I love most, when God motivates me to give and watching the recipient be blessed, it makes me dance. I love when God motivates me to be a blessing and at first glance I have nothing but I find I do have and then watch it grow to meet the need. Now that is special! It is special because it digs deep into my soul and creates a cup for grace to fill. We cannot judge by human standards. If God motivates He fills. I have seen multiply the little I have and create a banquet. How good is God?

Our God loves to bless His people and as we are His hands and feet, we bless. If we can just let go of judging our circumstance by our old thinking we do indeed have plenty to give.

Remember he who gives will have more given to him so that he can give more. He who wih holds, even the little he has, will be taken away. Don't withhold, give, amen!
