A House of Prayer

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the moneychangers tables  and all those who were selling doves. "It is written," he said, "that My house will be a house of prayer but you are making it a den of robbers." The blind and the lame came to Him at the temple and He healed them. Matthew 21:12-14

It is interesting that God wants His house to be a house of prayer, not sacrifice. We tend to associate the temple with sacrifice as so many of them occurred there. But Jesus calls it a house of prayer. And what is prayer? Relationship with God.

When we are caught up in buying and selling in the house we make it a place of noise and human nature but He wants it to be a place  of peace where we can meet with God and have a divine exchange. Amen!

Straight away the blind and lame come to Him to be healed.
