Be Silent
Be silent before the Lord and wait expectantly for Him; do not be agitated by one who prospers in his way, by the man who carries out evil plans. Psalm 37:7
Being silent can be a real challenge, especially when you have been wronged and suffer because of another. Yet the Lord wants complete control. Whilst ever I am agitated, He cannot act. So there is the challenge, 'let it go, let it go, let it go, completely, let it go!'
By being silent not only does my heart come to rest but I can then hear my God. What is He saying? This is most important. Not only is it relational, it is good medicine as when I am agitated I trouble my body and make it sick. Not good!
Today my mother catches the train south. Now I will have time to be silent and rest before the Lord. I am looking forward to hearing what He has to say. Amen!
The last encouragement is to wait expectantly for Him. He wants to act on our behalf. What is He going to do? Let Him surprise you! Amen!
