Who are We?

I have seen a wicked, violent man well -nourished like a flourishing native tree. Then I passed by and noticed he was gone; I searched for him, but he could not be found.
Watch the blameless and observe the upright, for a man of peace will have a future. Psalm 37:35-37

Watch the right people. We can think being a Christian is all one needs, but are we Christian in deed and truth? Are we whinging Christians, or are we people of faith?

One could look at my life and say, "Where was God for her? He is right beside me. Yes I have been tested and stretched but I am still standing and in need of no one to save me as my God does a good job in that department. I am so grateful that I no longer need the approval of others. Oh mercy me, that was a long time coming. I am grateful that I know no matter what comes against me I will rise above and fly beyond.

Self-pity needed killing off, again and again! Self-doubt needed stomping on. My God is so good! He does have all I need. All the best is sourced in Him.

Today the air conditioner at work failed and the landlord told me it was my problem. Thanks! I then tried to assemble a document in readiness for tomorrow's trip to Uralla. The machine kept eating it the printer refused to behave but I stayed my hand and gave God the glory. He is good and the best is coming my way. Amen! I did not succumb. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
