God Alone is in Control- We Can Trust Him!

The king and Haman came to feast with Esther the Queen. Once again, on the second day while drinking wine, the king asked Esther, "Queen Esther, whatever you ask will be given to you. Whatever you seek, even to half the kingdom, will be done."
Queen Esther answered, "If I have obtained your approval, my king, and if the king is pleased, spare my life- this is my request; spare my people-this is my desire. For my people and I have been sold out to destruction, death, and extermination. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept silent. Indeed, the trouble wouldn't be worth burdening the king."
King Ahaserus spoke up and asked Queèn Esther, "Who is this, and where is the one who would devise such a scheme?"
Esther answered, "the adversary and enemy is this evil man Haman."
Haman stood terrorised before the king and queen. Esther 7:1-6

Notice Esther called Haman evil and evil he was, but now she was embolden by Asherus' approval and words. Haman had been so full of himself and so sure that the king would allow him to kill Mordecai, Esther's uncle. But he had made a mistake already once by building the gallows to hang Mordecai and the king had him parade Mordecai around on the king's horse in the king's garments, all because the king realised he had not thanked Mordecai for saving his life.

Haman had thought he was special because he was invited to dinner. Now he would choke on the very food he ate as he is uncovered. Never, in a million years, would Haman have thought Queen Esther was a Jew. Now he is in deep trouble.

The Lord is again saving his people whilst they are in exile. He has proven it again and again. Yes they may have had to go off to Babylon but He was with them and would continue to be with them.

Evil men continually plot against God's people but the Lord always has the last say. He alone is God. Amen!
