He's Crazy!

Then He went home, and the crowd gathered again so that they were not even able to eat. When His family heard this, they set out to restrain Him, because they said, "He's out of His mind." Mark 3:20,21

Had a vote of 'no confidence' by your family? You are not alone! Our Saviour had this, even for them to think He had lost His mind. They would have been embarrassed by His actions, His words and His beliefs. Jesus must have done a complete about face to the man they grew up with for them to now consider Him 'out of His mind.'

I have had a vote of 'no confidence.' A vote of, 'she's out of her mind.' All because I have persevered down a path I believed God was leading me, business. I have not proclaimed I am the Christ, that I am a saviour of the world. Merely pursuing a path in business and fighting against all odds to succeed.

I can imagine the rejection Jesus endured, by his siblings, aunts, uncles, friends and business colleagues. He faced persecution by religious leaders and the crowds followed Him like a circus act, wanting Him to perform, but, in the midst of all this, there were the genuine seekers. These were the ones He looked for and gave the Kingdom of God to.

I am grateful He persevered throug all that came against Him. He made a way for me and I am grateful I have an eternity with Him. He has showed me His faithfulness, never ending faithfulness and I love Him for it. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
