Setting Captives Free

When evening came, after the sun set, they began bringing to Him all those who were Sick and those who were demon possessed. The whole town was assembled at the door, and He healed many who were sick with various diseases and drove out many demons. But He would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew Him. Mark 1:32-34

Imagine in a town having so many demon possessed? Why was that? Would it be the same in our towns? Possibly! Perhaps when they meet the presence of God then they manifested. Perhaps we could focus on the presence of God more, more than programme or our business? I wonder what would happen then? How interesting! The next thing that would happen would be the sick would be healed. The next thing to happen would be word spreading in the community and then freedom of souls in the community. Now, there's a thought!

I am just as guilty for being busy or on my own track. My goal should be to stay in the zone of the Spirit and allow Him room. Amen! Today, here is the challenge: stay quiet in spirit and give the Spirit room. Let's see what will be achieved. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
