Grace and Mercy on a Man Named Paul

I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry- one who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. I Tim 1:12-14

Isn't it interesting that the Lord strengthened Paul because He considered him faithful and went further to appoint him to ministry.

I heard a very good message today by Chris Vallortan (I hope that is how his name is spelt) from Bethel, a very funny message but a good one nonetheless. He talked about Paul and how he believed Paul was an ancient ISIS as he is supposed to have killed or jailed around 10,000 people. Now, when it is out in that context he was a bad dude.

However, God chose to redeem him. I wonder who was praying for Paul? Someone or a lot of someone's were.

Yet Paul was totally transformed and redeemed and went on to write most of the Epistles in the New Testament.

Another interesting thing is that: he received mercy because he acted out of ignorance. How cool is that?

There is hope! We are being told of those who served in ISIS that are coming to Christ! Go Lord Go!!!

God is indeed full of grace and mercy! Amen!
