Prayer Protects

First of all, then, I urge that prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good, and it pleases God our Saviour, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to ithe knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:1-4

This verse comes after the verses 1:18, 20 referring to two men who Paul cites as having shipwrecked their faith through blasphemy.

Over the past week one of our politicians is being viciously attacked in the media because she did something wrong. She used tax payers money to hire a helicopter to go to a wedding. This woman would probably be in her early 70s and is a strong woman with good sound beliefs but we see her become, perhaps, slack with what is hers to use and be found out. I am praying for mercy for this woman because she is a good politician but made an error of judgement.

I need grace in all I do as a business owner and leader in my community myself and therefore want to give it. What I sow, I will reap.

Prayer is a slack position in our lives, but prayer is an important position towards the Lord for our leaders. Amen!

Prayer for our citiy's leaders will see good judgement made instead of foolishness. Prayer for our country's politicians we see us stable in a storm. Prayer for our leaders will see favour and blessing and not judgement. Prayer for our neighbourhood sees peace and rest instead of violence.

Therefore, pray! Amen!
