The Last Meal

On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when they sacrifice the Passover lamb, His disciples asked Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare the Passover so You may eat it?"
So He sent two of his disciples and told them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a water jug will meet you. Follow him. Wherever he enters, tell the owner of the house, The says, "Where is the guest room for Me to eat the Passover with any disciples?" He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there." So the disciples went out, entered the city, and found it just as He had told them, and they prepared the Passover. Mark 14:12-16

A man carrying a water jug was odd, women usually did this. Jesus could have know the household and the owner or this could be another miracle where He saw in the Spirit and spoke what He saw.

This comes after Judas had gone out and made preparation to betray Jesus. The self-control of Jesus is amazing. He knew who would betray Him. I have said before that each of us has a spiritual signature and there are times I sense in the Spirit that a particular person is angry, plotting evil, repentant, happy etc. I am a mere mortal and Jesus was the Son of God. He was well able to know what was going on.

I wonder who receive the orders to make the preparation for Jesus? Whoever it was they did it well. This was an important meal, the last Jesus would have with them before the cross. I wonder if they knew how significant it was. I wonder if after Jesus was arrested hey wished they had done more?

We can,  usually, never fully know what the future holds or when someone will be taken from us, if we did we would prepare the last meal as something special.
