Who is Jesus?
So Jesus asked this question as He taught in the temple complex, "How can the scribes say that the Messiah is the Son of David? David himself says by the Holy Spirit:
'The Lord declared to my Lord, 'Sit at My right hand until I put your enemies under Your feet.'
David himself called Him 'Lord'; how then can the Messiah be his Son?" And the large crowd listened to Him with delight. Mark 12:35-37
Today the same question remains for the Jews: who then is Jesus Christ?
For us who believes, we can enter into this promise: 'sit here, at peace, and watch Me win a victory.'
Jesus defeated our enemy at the cross and now we can, by faith, take our territory.
Just because there is opposition does not mean it it is not ours. It is ours by inheritance and we must dispossess the squatters. If we faint thinking it is all too hard, we fail to possess all that is ours but if we endure and rebuke the enemy he must flee.
The path to victory is littered with the lives of those who gave up thinking that they could walk in without a fight and when the fight comes they wilt under the heat. Rise up in the strength promised us. If Christ lives in me, then I can do all things. Amen!
Draw those who are warriors around you, feed on good teaching, arm yourself with self-discipline, go on and win the victory. Throw away your trash, watch, listen and walk in what is good and clean and lovely! Amen!
