Always there

In the beginning, Lord,
You established the earth,
And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
They will perish, but You remain.
They will all wear out like clothing;
You will roll them up like a cloak,
And they will be changed like a robe.
But You are the same,
And Your years never end. Hebrews 1:10-12

The writer of Hebrews plucks scriptures from psalm 102:25; Is 50:9; 51:6; Ps 2:7; Ps 102:26 and blends them to be a beautiful representation of Jesus.

The whole Old Testament has Jesus threaded through it. Again and again prophesy speaks of Him. For me the bible is like a tapestry, beginning at the bottom, working its way through dark patches, shadow and reflection , exploding in the middle with the Son and the gospels and working to the top a sky full of the glory of Him.

He created this earth to walk with us, it started well, went through centuries of darkness, then He Himself came and gave His life so that the end is filled with the Stars promised Abraham, the believers in this last time are far greater than all time. We are a mix of cultures and creeds but a common belief, Jesus Christ, saviour and Lord. Amen!

Jesus is Lord, Jesus is Saviour, Jesus is creator. Thank You Lord!
Amen!

When life seems to hem me in, I remind myself, I am hid in Him and am safe, cared for, covered and loved. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
