Come Back to the Start

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed. You know those who taught you,  and you know that from childhood you have know the sacred scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:14-16

Some of us have been raised in church, heard the scriptures, and whether we are willing to agree, they are a part of the fabric of our lives. Circumstance will endeavour to strip the memories away but in a quiet moment, when faced by the presence of God, they remain. Deep calls to deep!

Just as every thread in a tapestry remains and adds to the finished work, so does God's word remain. That word is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, diving through the thoughts and intentions of the heart. I call forth that word to be activated in your heart today. Dormant seeds come alive, fire of God breath on the seeds, it is time, time for change. Amen!

Dare to quieten the noise and ask Him to come and reveal Himself to you, ask His presence in to set your life on fire for Him. The time of Spirit Fire has come. Let Him consume you for His purposes. You know you are unsatisfied with the world, it has failed you. Spirit come! Amen!

Allow scripture to rebuke and correct you. Lay down selfishness and trust Him, He will not destroy you but refashion you for His purposes. There is nothing better than being a vessel of gold full of fire. Amen!

The result is peace, His peace. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
