Fight for the Faith

But you, man of God, run from these things ( the love of money), and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life that you were called to and have made a good confession about in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Tim 6:11,12

At times we do need to fight for the faith. I am back into warfare today. The pain is back and so is the fuzzy head and conflict with council. I am wanting to press forward with the fund raiser for the Skate park and council want me to provide 20m public liability. I have had a quote. It will cost $500-600. I already have a jumping castle want to charge for their time. I can see the profits been eaten up with costs.

However, I must trust the Lord, because this problem is causing me to reach out to many more organisations than what I knew existed. I am amazed with what is available.

I had a good conversation with a woman from a council that did produce what we want, in their own space. I am gaining invaluable contacts and information. All the while my body is not playing ball.

I am reminded that last year, when we moved into a new office, I struggled with more pain than I have now, after a fractured pelvis.

I had a long conversation with a young man who wants to help, he has connections with the skaters. I love the people who want to be involved. I am having to keep a good attitude with the council and trust the Lord to use them for what He wants for Tamworth. This is not about me, but Him reaching out to those He loves. Amen!
