How to Avoid all Controversies
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned. Titus 3:9-11
There are so many foolish things I can become entangled in. There is so much we cannot change by force of character. There are so many traps waiting to snare us in thinking wrongly about others, our lot in life and even God. How do we stay true to the truth that sets us free and not the 'truth' that snares?
The times I struggle most is when so much is happening, good and bad, at times I am squeezed and my inner life wants to drift on the ocean amidst the fish and rest. This is the time to get into the river of God. His grace is sufficient for me. He is all I need.
