Rebukes
Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, myounger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and with all propriety, the younger women as sisters. 1Tim 5:1,2
People in our world constantly do wrong, make mistakes and fail us. We can become frustrated by their bad behaviour, lack of action, foolish behaviour. However, we cannot deal with anyone out of the base of that frustration. What would God have us do on their behalf? Firstly pray, see deeply into how He made them, what would He have planned for their life?
This is a lesson I have had to learn in business. What is God saying about my employees? When faced with hardness of heart, arrogance, pride? Firstly they are Gods children and He has a desire for them, what is it? Now I must humble myself and seek God's ways. I cannot act out of the flesh because it will only destroy. Therefore bad behaviour in others is good for me, it brings me closer to Him.
In the text above Timothy is being aught how to relate to all age groups, in respect. We are all capable of bad behaviour, but God is there for each of us. Amen!
Today I pray the blood of Christ on my team, I praise Him they already are all He desires them to be, all I need them to be, responsible human beings with a vision for their lives.
For my family, I praise Him they are all He wants them to be. I thank Him for my friends, they are all the Lord has planned them to be. Praising the Lord and the person is good. Always!
Lord I praise You for my world, my neighbours, my friends, my family. Thank You Lord! Amen!
