Slave No More!

All who are under the yoke as slaves must regard their own masters to be worthy of all respect, so that God's name and His teaching will not be blasphemed. 1Tim 6:1

As I read this another though rises up in me: 'he who the Son sets free is free indeed.'

My Jesus set me free from the yoke of slavery. What is the difference? The yoke of slavery that Christ has set me free from is the slavery that is unseen, spiritual bondage. Bondage that is not seen, but felt, is the hardest to deal with, it is elusive. But when discovered, when light shines in the darkness and we can see, then we can deal with the enemy.

Tonight I have had a revelation, I have ordered my life to someone else's drum. Who is that someone? My cage master! Tonight I am free to live according to Christ in me, the hope of glory. He is not legalistic. He encourages me to go for the life He has planned and destined for me. It is an adventurous life, full of purpose and joy as I stretch my God-given abilities. I am blessed indeed!

I do not need to bend and twist to earn someone else's kind favour, this is not freedom. The people who will run with me will like me. Why not run the race set before me by my God, my freedom giver and see what He brings alongside. Amen!

The above scripture refers to the slaves of ancient times whose master were also believers. The slaves where now brothers to the believing master but still had to respect them, much like we do employers.

However, I have taken a different bent.
