True Salvation
We must, therefore, pay more attention to what we have heard, so that we will not drift away. For if the message spoken through angels was legally binding and every transgression and disobedience received a just punishment, how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first spoken by the Lord and was confirmed to us by those heard Him. At the same time, God also testified by signs and wonders, various miracles, and distributions of gifts from the Holy Spirit according to His will. Hebrews 2:1-4
The message of salvation came to me, after an awareness of my sin. The joy of deliverance and salvation was so real. I was lifted up into a new place, a place of sonship.
How could I spit in my Saviour's face and reduce all He gave me to something that fitted a less than life? How could I reduce His sacrifice when He gave His all for me?
The modern man deified angels and concocts a gospel of feel goodism. It has nothing to do with truth. In fact it s a prison with padded walls, deception at its best.
Why do we do this? Because it seems better than facing ourselves and our sin. Facing our sin is only the beginning, it gives us perspective on truth, truth that liberates. Jesus said: 'He who the Son sets free, is free indeed!' Why would I settle for mock freedom? Freedom in Christ is freedom indeed. What clarity, purity, joy, peace! Amen!
