Want a Crown?

Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the recruiter. Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer ought to be the first to get a share of the crops. Consider what I say, for the Lord gives you understanding in everything. 2 Tim 2:3-7

Today Tamworth has a running festival. I am a part of the Tri-freedom team. I was to run but my injury has precluded me, I have to walk. Do you know how frustrating this is for an athlete? I want to run. I am constraining my world to train, care for my body and stay focussed.

In my Christian walk my eyes are on the leader, He is constantly saying to me: "Look at Me!" I must say it is a good view. Whilst I look at Him every knee must bow, every temptation, every distraction must bow. Praise God.

Welł if I must walk I will look for people to talk to. Watch out! This afternoon I am treating myself to a steam train ride. I have had a love affair with steam trains since I was a child. This will be an awesome opportunity to talk to people.

Finally tonight I will celebrate the day in church! No better way! Amen!
