Who is Lord?

For if we deliberately sin after receiving the knowledge of truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgement and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries. If anyone disregards Moses' law, he dies without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think one deserves who has trampled on the Son of  God, regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:26-29

I am currently  reading John Bevere's new book: ' Good or God?' It is very confronting and the above scripture he addresses. We cannot write this out of the bible because it seems so harsh. We are called to live holy lives, set apart lives, sanctified lives and we do this in the strength of the Grace God gives us. We do not have it in our flesh but our new nature has all of Christ in it and that is more than enough.

Our problem has always been, and always will be, we want to drive the bus and lead ourselves. Obedience doesn't work like this. Submission and yielding are a part of obedience and making Jesus Lord of our lives. Just calling Him Lord is not enough, we must make Him Lord through submission.

God says judgement is His and He will repay. So many people talk about those who have died as being 'up there in heaven.' Yet most of this is soppy rubbish, emotion driven. Eternity is real and there are two camps in eternity and two doors. Jesus is the door to life, no man enters unless through Him; the other is Satan and the Kingdom of darkness. There is no grey, no in between, only two.

We must choose: life or death! Which will you choose? If you choose Jesus hen you must lay down your will and allow Him to be Lord, He does not share this role with you as He is pure, you are not.

If you want to be Lord, the other guy is more than happy to accomodate you as he will feed you a long rope, but remember, that rope is around your ankle and he will reel you into his web of death.
