A Different Way
"come now, let us reason together, " says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; through they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best of the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of he Lord has spoken. Isaiah 1:18-20
Outside of Christ there little hope and being devoured by the sword is a high option. However, God's people are called to live by faith. As we read the book of Acts, we know that being a Christian does not stop bad stuff from happening, but that we have a constant help in time of need, a comforter, a guide, a deliverer.
We will stipll walk through the valley of Bacca but we will walk through and not be consumed. It is my faith in my God that keeps me, I still walk through, but hey! I get through. Amen!
For the first time ever, my son, his wife and five children have come to visit. Accomodation is a little cramped but we are having noisy fun. So far today we have walked up my mountain (OK, hill). Four came as one grandchild has an injured tendon in her foot. Even little Ollie, who is not yet three. They loved it. We came home and made plaster cast models, played water bombs, watched Ice Age 1 and now is rest time. Oh! And made a mess and ate, a lot between us all. (Good stuff of course)
My valley was the many years I did life without family post divorce. Now being alone is not a problem, I like it in fact. It makes the visits more fun.
During the valley time I clung to the Lord. He is so good! Amen!
