Faithful Workers

The faithful city- what an adulteress she has become! She was once full of justice. Righteousness once dwelt in her- but now, murderers! Your silver has become dross,  your beer is diluted with water. Your rulers are rebels, friends of thieves. They love graft and chase after bribes. They do not defend the rights of the fatherless, and the widows case can never come before them. Isaiah 1:21-23

God's people had forsaken righteousness. We see from these scripture what God looks for in His people. We defend the widows, abused children, abused spouses, the poor and the needy. Our attitude is not: ' Me first, me second and me third, you get scraps.' Conversely it is: 'I am the light and am here to serve, how can I help?'

In all our dealings with others righteousness can prevail, we, God's people, are empowered by Him. Earlier this week I wrote to the local car dealer and VW because I have a car with a serious problem and felt that I was being told to 'put up with the problem.' It took until yesterday for anyone to contact me and I suspect it was because I had also written to a TV programme: 7:30 report. I was awake in the night examining my motives, were they righteous and who would they affect? I am concerned for the little people who work in these organisations and have helped me. Big business can be so ruthless and this has been my experience. Where big business goes into damage control they destroy little people to protect themselves and this is not acceptable. The little people are the workers who keep them afloat. My aim, as a little customer, is to protect the little workers along the way. May God prevail! Amen!
