Finding Jesus

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:
My servants will eat,
But you will go hungry;
My servants will drink,
But you will go thirsty;
My servants will rejoice,
But you will be put to shame.
My servants will shout for joy from a glad heart,
But you will cry out from an anguished heart,
And you will lament with a broken spirit.
You will leave your name behind as a curse for My chosen ones,
But He will give His servants another name.
Whoever is blessed in the land will be blessed by the God of truth,
And whoever swears in the land will swear by the God of truth.
For the former things will be hidden from My sight, Isaiah 65:13-16

This morning I found myself in a different place in Isaiah, perhaps because I was trowling through it last night looking for references to Jesus, and here I find another.

Whilst God's people are being rebuked and told that only those who seek God will be blessed, out pops the promise in: but He will give His servants another name. There is Jesus again!

Over the past week I had my son, his wife and their five children visiting, my little granddaughter Ellie loved to come in early in the morning and ask: ' Nanny will you read to me?' The funny thing was she held a 'Where's Wally,' book in her hand. We went on a search for the hidden pictures. My greatest struggle was finding the dogs tail and the key. Yet once I found them, I saw them on every pag, well almost, the key was a pest.

In Isaiah, and in fact all the Old Testament I see and hear Christ and giggle with excitement for I have found Him again and again, and again. With every find I experienced such delight. Ellie and I both experienced delight in finding the hidden pictures.

For so many, Jesus is hidden. He was for me for many years, but once I found Him, I see Him everywhere. Let yourself delight in the Lord, He then delights to bring you His treasure to experience.

I woke at 3:30 this morning and was delighting in the treasure the Lord brought me yesterday, 8 young souls, all His choice. What a blessing to be trusted with His treasure. We are working on a re-development of their Skate Park together and one of the boys had made a mistake and said he was sorry and felt bad, I was able to tell him we all need forgiveness at times. He appreciated that. I want to be salt and light to these young men, all 16 and 17 year olds. How blessed am I?

God has groomed me to be a trusted servant, allow Him to groom you, you will not be disappointed. He has also given me neighbours and I am now walking with one every day. Amen!
