Look for God

For the Lord said to me, " Go post a lookout; let him report what he sees. When he sees riders- pairs of horsemen, riders on donkeys, riders on camels- he must pay close attention". Isaiah 21:6,7

When the Lord says look, we must look, when He says taste and see, then we must taste and see. Here in this scripture the Lord is saying to look for a sign, when the sign comes the end of that period of time has come. Here it represented the fall of Babylon.

As Christians we are told to observe the times. When God says something will happen, it will. When God promises restoration, it will come, wait for it, it will surely come.

Psalm 34:8 says: taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the man who takes refuge in Him!

My God is my refuge and strength, what can man do to me! Amen! Stand, trust and be strong in the Lord.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
