On That Day

On that day the Lord of Hosts will become a crown of beauty and a diadem of splendour to the remnant of His people, a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgement, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. Isaiah 28:5,6

What beautiful word pictures Isaiah uses. I am used by God in prophesy and at times I am able to capture the language of God, He says things so much better than I can.

I love the last phrase, 'and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.' Those who stop the enemy are His delight, be it the critical spirit that we tear down, the malicious spirit we hinder, the gossip we defuse, the hatred we stop in its track, the bitterness at we confront, the warrior defeats all of these, first in themselves, then in others.

The victorious receive a crown and here we see the crown of beauty and diadem of splendour- all represented by the spirit of God.

This morning I was awake early seeking the Lord for new authority and earnestly pressed into e courts of God. Then I went to work and proceeded to do the day when suddenly I had a phone call. The local TV station wanted to interview me about an article I had published in the Country Wide newspaper about helping farmers through a petition to send to Coles and Woolworths about $1 a shop donation by customers. Now I have to trust the Lord in what his purpose was, I pray we get results for the farmers. Amen!

My church is doing some prayer and fasting this week for the lost. I am fasting the times the Lord has given me to fast and when I do I seek Him. I must say I am enjoying meeting Him in these times, we have a regular date around desperation. My natural hunger fuels His hunger in me, it works!

How good He is and how big is a His heart! Amen!
