Do You Not Know?

Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning?

Have you not considered the foundations of the earth?

God is enthroned above the circle of the earth;

Its inhabitants are like grasshoppers.

He stretches out the heavens like thin cloth and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

He reduces princes to nothing and makes judges of the earth irrational.

They are barely planted, barely sown,

Their stems hardly take root in the ground when He blows on them and they wither,

And a whirlwind carries them away like stubble. Isaiah 40:21-24

I suppose some reading these scripture would judge God as being cruel and vindictive and reject Him but at what loss? If we judge God according to our paltry scales and find Him wanting, then we lose. 

You might say: "I am sufficient in my anthood, I do not need to know such a maker," how sad I am for you. If our own ego is the seat from which we judge, how scary? Who created you? Yet you, the pot challenge the potter and say, "I don't need You, I am more than you!" What foolishness!

I suppose because I know God as a friend, I don't not take offense. Do you have dear friends in your world and watch others misunderstand and take offense at them? 

Are people always judging you, perhaps, and taking offense at your security, be it financial or positional? You know another side but also that those who are offended are being irrational and making their judgement from their own ego, which is flawed. Are you the same with God?

I know God as the one who is the master artist. He brings me new days with a smile, "a gift for you," I hear. That same day is a gift for all, but all do not see, I do! All do not appreciate, I do!

Taste and see that the Lord is good!
