Focus on the Promise Giver

"As I live"- this is the Lord's declaration - you will wear all your children as jewellery, and put them on as a bride does. For your waste and desolate places and your land marked by ruins- will now be too small for the inhabitatanta, and those who swallowed you up will be far away. Yet as you listen, the children that you have been deprived of will say, "This place is too small for me; make room for me now so that I may settle." Isaiah 49:18-20

This passage carries a promise. Who has been deprived of children? I have been deprived of my grandchildren and it has hurt, yet there are those of you who have been deprived of children. This passage speaks of restoration, a promise is coming to pass.

It is so easy to focus on pain and loss, however if we refuse to seek the  Lord in our pain, we will never  hear the promise of see it come to pass. For something to come to pass groundwork needs to be done, sometimes it is us who must change in order to be ready for the promise.

By refusing to change, to yield our pain, to walk through our pain we become disillusioned and bitter, when He wants things to become better.

I must trust in the promise giver and focus on Him and His promise, allowing myself to change. Amen!
