Get Ready for Growth

Enlarge the site of your tent, and let your tent curtains be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your ropes, and drive your pegs deep. For you will spread to the right and to the left, and your descendants shall dispossess nations and inhabit desolate cities. Isaiah 54:2,3

Another promise! There is a change coming! No longer will you live in smallness but you will be enlarged. Get ready! Make room for the growth that is coming your way!

I claim this promise over myself. I know I will not stay as I am, I know I am ready for growth. The last two years I have laid the foundation and now I am ready, I wait patiently for it to emerge.

The kingdom of God is filled with promises, we must be tuned in and ready, poised even, in condition, ready for all the promise entails.

I remember listening to a message by a great travelling speaker about a man who was single and who wanted to be married. The man asked this gent what does she look like? The man described her. Then the speaker said, "She is walking into the room right now, will she recognise you?" The gent would not have been recognisable as he was overweight and a woman he described would not be interested in him, he had work to do. 

My question to you is: are you ready? The promise is on the way. The train is almost at the station, do you have the right vehicle to collect what you are expecting? If 'Yes,' praise God; if 'No,' then get to it. Get ready! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
