God, Our Hope

Woe, you destroyer never destroyed, you traitor never betrayed! When you have finished destroying you will b destroyed. When you have finished betraying, they will betray you.
Lord, be gracious to us! We wait for you. Be our strength every morning and our salvation in time of trouble. Isaiah 33:1,2

There is nothing more cruel than betrayal by someone who has not suffered betrayal themselves. The arrogance and self- righteousness is like steel. One who destroys, especially a young person, is so confident in themselves and what they are doing, it seems right, to them.

Destruction and betrayal in Christianity, especially by other Christians hurts. For me it is like acid poured in my innermost parts, it hurts deeply, agonisingly.

Yet, the is hope. As I trust in the Lord and allow Him to be my hope, things change. My God alone is my strength, my provider, my hope. Amen!
