I will lead you!

This is what the Lord, your Reedemer, the Holy One of Israel says:
"I am Yahweh your God, who teaches you for your benefit, who leads you in the way you should go.
If only you had paid attention to My commands. Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:17,18

God teaches us for our benefit, and if we are clever, we listen and learn, instead of resenting change.
He leads us in the way we should go, if I am clever I will follow, for then I will avoid the pools of the dead. If I pay attention my peace flows like a river, full and strong and just like the waves of the sea, my righteousness would be strong, attractive and refreshing.

Isaiah 30:21 says: you will hear a voice behind you saying,"this is the way, follow it, whether it turns to the right or left." Jesus said He is the good shepherd and at He leads us into good pastures. May I hazard to guess that often times we are in places He never intended us to be, we took a wrong turn.

Hungering for him, tends to keep us on track. So, stay hungry!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
