Indescribable

"Who will you compare Me to, or who is My equal?" Asks the Holy One.
Look up and see: who created these?
He brings out the starry host by number;
He calls all of them by name.
Because of His great power and strength,
Not one of gem is missing. Isaiah 40:25,26

I have a DVD called 'Indescribable' by Louis Giglio.

In the DVD he gives us a guided tour of the galaxies and at the same time a reality check. We can take so much for granted, yet there is a creator. I am sorry but it takes too much faith to believe that no one started the chain reaction and that it all just happened. I have to believe in the One I know and I know what He said in the very first book of the bible, Genesis, is exciting and true,

I paint pictures. When I describe how I begin, wih a blank, white canvas and then I draw the outline and choose the colours, if you were listening what would you say? 'I don't believe you did this, you are not talented enough.' Or would you admire the artwork and acknowledge the creation? 

My office is full of my artwork, as is my home. If a stranger came into my office and refuted that I had created the artwork, I would find them foolish. If they dared to tell me that the artwork happened all by itself, I would roll on the floor laughing at them.

Yet this is what many do to God, the creator. Not smart!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
