Ready to soar?

Jacob, why do you say, and Israel, why do you assert:
"My way is hidden from the Lord, and my claim is ignored by my God?"
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
Yahweh is the everlasting God, the creator of the whole earth.
He never grows faint or weary;
There is no limit to Hus understanding.
He gives strength to the weary and strengthen the powerless.
Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall,
But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength;
They will soar on wings of eagles;
They will run and not grow weary;
They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40: 27-31

Instead of Jacob and Israel we could put our names, couldn't we?
Do you feel you are outside of God? Do you believe He does not care?
I remember, long ago in my life, around the 18-19 mark, feeling outside, isolated and wanting in. I had friends praying for me, I had friends reaching out to me. However, I was facing the wrong way, hearing the call, but not knowing the way. Yet God was there, He was using my frustration and sense of futility to lead me to Him. At the right moment, He showed up and took me by the hand to hear what would set me free.

I know a lady who is 10 years older than me, and she is at that place. She had lost her way and God is bringing her home to Himself. Why would God bother? Because He loves us all, there are no favourites, His love extends to us all, but not all come.

When we do turn to Him, and seek Him as our last breath, He is our strength and He will lift us up on wings of eagles and we will soar.

Settle, trust, you will find the way! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
