The Promise is For More

"Rejoice, childless one, who did not give birth; burst into song and shout, you who have not been in labour! For the children of the forsaken one will be more than the children of the married woman, " says the Lord. Isaiah 54:1

I love promises! Promises have to be believed to be received. Has God given you a promise? Then trust Him for it to come to pass. Here God is speaking about barrenness and lonliness which leads to helplessness. In disaster, we can feel very vulnerable and helpless, it takes time to heal, I should know.
After divorce it has taken me around 12 years to heal. I wanted a quick fix but God is into permanent fix and as a nurse I know deep wounds take a long time to heal but if you pack them right they will heal. Same with our souls and spirits, no different.

At present we are experiencing extremely high temperatures and fires are breaking out all over the country. People are losing everything, and if that was not enough there is a huge amount of the inland in drought. People are lost and don't know where to go. All their treasures are gone.

We see thousands of people affected by Isil in Syria and Iraqu and they are fleeing with just a few meagre belongings. They will be devastated for some time.

Yet this scripture talks to a deeper need than having babies, though it covers that as well. We need to trust our God, at the right time He will take us into expansion, He has a plan and if we rest and trust, it will come to pass. Amen!
