The Way of the West

So take your stand with your spells and your many sorceries, which you have wearied yourself with from your youth. Perhaps you will be able to succeed; perhaps you will inspire terror! You are worn out with your many consultations. So let them stand and save you- the astrologers who observe the stars, who predict monthly what will happen to you. Look, they are like stubble, fire burns them up. They cannot deliver themselves from the power of the flame. This is not coal for warming themselves, or a fire to sit beside! This is what they are to you- those who have wearied you and have traded with you from your youth- each wanders his own way; no one can save you. Isaiah 47:12-15

Our society has wandered so far away from the living God, feasted on filth, walked in corruption and listed for more. Even as terror strikes they turn from their God, they ban Him from the schools, the forces, the political arena. They they cry out when suffering comes and blame Him for not caring and allowing them to suffer. How foolish!

The church has to come out from this, refuse to walk with this, not indulge in the filth. We cannot dine with those who knowingly and intentionally choose such paths. Paul tells us in the Epistles to shun such people.

Christians are not those who inflict abuse or commit acts of terror. They have a gospel to give, one of forgiveness, separation from sin and holiness. We must not indulge in the sin, but not judge the sin. There is only one judge and He does it better than anyone, keep out of His way.

Men and women who wilfully shun their God suffer the penalty, a darkness of soul and loss of a relationship with Him and face eternity without Him. I pray for mercy! Amen!
