Don't tempt God!

So Satan took Him to Jerusalem, had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, " If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. For it is written:
'He will give His angels orders concerning You, to protect You, and they will Support You with their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.'
And Jesus answered him, "It is said: 'Do not tempt the Lord your God.' Luke 4:9-12

Just as Jesus was tempted with testing the Lord in reference to a promise He has made to us we are constantly tempted to be foolish in respect to our bodies, our Spirits, our minds.

Scripture tells us: we have the mind of Christ; your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; God will not go back on His word, especially in regard to the one: He who confesses with His mouth Jesus is Lord will be saved.

The temptation is subtle. So subtle that we take risks that are unwise. We are unwise with our bodies, we eat wrong things, we drink unwisely, we read and watch things that are risking our salvation, we go places we should not go, all because we think we are immortal, why God will pick us up, He will forgive us, He will come through.

Yet, there are so many scriptures that tells us to build wisely, to be ready for He will come at any time. What about these scriptures? What about the warnings?

Only the foolish go headlong into trouble. Tonight is New Year's Eve. Many will be celebrating. Be wise! For there are many fools around that can harm you even if you do behave.
