Make Him Known

I will make known the Lord's faithful love and the Lord's praiseworthy acts, because of all the Lord has done for us- even the many good things He has done for the house of Israel and has done for them based on his compassion and the abundance of His faithful love. Isaiah 63:7

This is my task! I must make know the Lord, a his faithful love and His praiseworthy acts.

Today I heard a message from one of the pastors, I think it was Eric Johnson. He was saying that he once asked the Lord a dumb question: 'Lord why have I not gone through a financial crisis like the people around me who are experiencing bankruptcy? ' You would have to agree at there are some questions we don't want to ask for fear of attracting that exact thing into our lives. God answered Eric and reminded him of a time when he was doing it tough. Rather than moan both he and his wife began to praise God for the little things they did have, they fostered a grateful heart.

He reminded me of myself, I have done this. Things may have been tough but I love my life, the life You gave me Lord and then I recount all that I am grateful for. Sometimes it is just a sunset, or a sunrise, my dogs, my home.

We have so much to praise God for: the air we breathe, the sun, the moon, the stars, freedom. Right now I am loving the smell of summer. In Australia, especially in the country, we have a smell in the evening of summer, such a lovely, friendly smell. An aboriginal man said to me: "it is the smell of rain coming." He should know.

As Christians we need to speak of the goodness of our God, tell the dark world about the love of our God, show that love in acts of kindness.

Go!
