You Don't Need. A Sign, Just Believe!

As the crowds were increasing, He began saying: "This generation is an evil generation. It demands a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah. For just as Jonah became a sign to the people of Ninevah, so also will the Son of Man will be to this generation. The queen of the south will rise up at the judgement with the men and condemn them, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and look- something greater than Solomon is here!" Luke 11:29-31

We have to accept the fact that there is a rebuke for unbelief. Jesus highly commended those who believed, especially those who were Gentiles. I can see He respects the believing heart, it is close to Him. As I believe and choose to press in, I am His delight. Whilst I cannot earn salvation, I can earn respect and favour by my faith.

The same opportunities are available to us all but many choose unbelief and to be ruled by this present darkness instead of the word of God. His kingdom is full of life, love, power, enjoyment, truth, mercy and justice. As I sacrifice popularity, acceptance to Him, He takes my sacrifice and gives me His best in return.

Whatever you are going thorough now, give it up as a sacrifice to Him and tell Him you trust Him to reward your faith, He will!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
